Video Game Reviews of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Limited Edition

Customer Review: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Summary: 4 Stars

This game is very much like the first but has sprint, new guns, and new maps. The maps I think are a little worse then the orginal but the guns I think are suprior to it. The sprint is definetly a huge benefit.

Customer Review: It could be better!
Summary: 3 Stars

I have been a Rainbow Six fan since the begining of the franchiese. There have been some good ones and some bad ones. The first Vegas was owesome, I spend countless hours of fun in that game playing retrieval with friends, but in Vegas 2 I was very dissapointed because there's no Retrieval. I think Ubisoft released R6V2 too early because the game is full of flaws. I've finished the story mode in Realistic but it didn't gave me the achievement for it, neither the achievement for Private First Class and some times when I'm playing my screen goes into slow-motion. I think you can still have fun if you play with a bunch of friends over XboxLive.

Customer Review: A little old, a LOT of NEW
Summary: 4 Stars

I may be a bit biased writing this review, since my love for the Tom Clancy series of games is widely known. I will try to do this as objectivly and non-fanboyish as I can:

Pros:
This game has been very well designed from the start and improving on the first game, I thought, would be quite difficult. However, the graphics are sharper, the weaponry is more real-world (i.e. the guns in silenced are less accurate and have less punch) and they added an XP points and achievements system to the co-op and story mode portion of the game, instead of just in multiplayer. The addition of the last thing and the co-op story mode made this game 1000X better than CoD4 or any previous Rainbow 6 title.

Cons:
While there aren't many, I'd say that most of the maps are either too small or too big and I'd like to see some more variety in the Terrorist Hunt missions. I think the controls can still be a bit clunky at times, although fine motor skills are way better in this game than the first Vegas title. The one other thing I'd like to see is better/smoother online experiences. The servers are too slow and they still have a "host advantage" at times. Nothing is perfect and it depends on connection, but hopefully they can iron this out soon.

Overall:
9 out of a possible 10. A good buy if you love FPSs!
