O.K. where do I begin... well this item is definitely not what it was advertised as, in the description of the item it states "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" which isn't true at all... it's just a regular usb extension cable nothing more nothing less...
I guess I have to hand it to this seller savvy way of thinking "CASH IN ON THE KINECT CRAZE".......
If you want the official brand Kinect extension cable just buy this one: Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable I know, I know it's more expensive (do to this bad economy) but sometimes when you try and pinch pennies you may get burned... I fell for the description of the Swell item being compatible with Kinect which isn't true at all....
Trust me if you are trying to get an extension cable just in time for Christmas and want your Kinect to actually work on Christmas day then just go with the 'PDP' Kinect approved brand and not the "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" because as I stated before this seller's just cashing in on the Kinect craze...
You want a regular standard usb extension cord for a good price then buy this product.. but if you want an extension cable that's actually compatible with Kinect because of the cut-out male to female connectivity of the cord, then buy this: Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable .... I should know I bought the Xbox 360 Kinect Extension Cable it actually connects to my Kinect (I know play on words)... unfortunately for me I also bought this one: "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" for my nephews for this coming Christmas.. and it doesn't connect to my nephews Kinect at all (I know another play on words, I just had to).
By the way I bought a stand alone Kinect sensor bar not the Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect or Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect bundle (I already own an older modeled Xbox 360)... and yes there is a little grey standard usb cord extension connector that comes with the stand alone Kinect sensor bar but it's only to extend the usb/power supply combo cord that also comes with the stand alone Kinect sensor bar... that's pretty much it.
The "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" will not work even if you've bought the stand alone sensor or the new slim Xbox 360 Kinect bundle because the "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" female cut-out still wont match the specially cut Kinect usb sensor.. the "Sewell Kinect Compatible USB 16' Extension Cable" is just a standard male/female usb and not specially cut to fit the Kinect sensor bar period.

Up to 4 of these USB Active Extension cables can be linked together to extend the distance to your USB peripheral by over 60 feet. Note: After testing the Xbox Kinect with these extension cables, we found that you could daisy chain up to 4 of these together and it would work. However, if you were to purchase our 33 ft. Active Extension, we were unable to get it to work with that. The specification for USB states that the maximum length of a USB cable is 5 meters (16 feet).
