I got this product because I did not want to pay $90-100 to connect to xbox live. I read the reviews, and sure enough...works PERFECTLY on my Xbox 360. You just plug it in, don't put the cd in, and put in your WEP security code. And just like that you're hooked up! And I saved $50 by getting this instead of the one made for the 360.
This is made by Microsoft for the original xbox, but works seamlessly with the 360 if you have WEP security. Definitely worth the savings! I've recommended this to all my friends who haven't yet bought the wireless adapter.

After reading all the reviews for this product, we decided to purchase this item over the 360 version. However, it would not connect to our wireless system. I don't really know what the problem was, but my husband tried connecting it several times. He finally got too frustrated after an hour or so and went to Game Stop to buy the 360 version. We had no problem connecting with that one. So, I'm just warning that it may not be as "easy" as some said it was.Customer Review: Works with xbox 360 at half the price!

This works with xbox 360 at half the price.You must have your pc already hooked up to a wireless router.Once you configure the adapter to your wireless settings,you are good to go!
Just one note..if you are planning on using this to go live,you must also purchase a gold membership.And if, you are planning on playing ea sports games online and are under 18 years old,dont bother buying this,and any other accessory needed...EA sports will not allow anyone under the age of 18 to play their games online with xbox live.I thought I would pass this on so you are not disappointed like I was.I purchased over $1000 worth of console/games/accessories for my son for xmas,and now find out he cannot go online,like he wanted.Xbox and EA sports pass the buck back and forth..cant get anywhere!

I read reviews before purchasing this item so I did not load the software. Just plugged it straight to the xbox. It spotted my wireless account but did not accept my WEP code. When I called my provider to ensure I provided the right code (which was the proper code), they adviced me that in any event, for online gaming, i'm better off hardwiring the box (which defeated the purpose of the equipment). We ordered this because it was so much cheaper than the newer model for the Xbox 360. It is compatible with the 360 and very easy to set up, my 12 year old son was able to set up the system. We've been using it for about 2 months and haven't had any problems. If you're looking to buy a wireless adapter for your 360, and you want to save some money......... this works just fine and does the same job for a lot less money!
