Not surprisingly it's on the spendy side. M$ tends to do that with all Xbox peripherals. IMO it should cost about $35 max. But, it works well. Read the connection instructions and it's not hard too get it up and working. Battery life is pretty good. I don't know if it reaches the 8 hours it is advertised as but I don't have to recharge it after every session. The ear attachment is different but stays on very well. Sound quality is good too. I've worn it for a couple multi-hour gaming sessions now and it's never become uncomfortable. Customer Review: AMAZING

I don't know what everyone is saying about having to talk loud. I can talk at a normal, even less than normal talking voice, and everyone can hear me perfectly. It has an amazing range, even through 2 concrete walls. Other's voices are clear and crisp, and there is definitely no problem with battery time. Overall, a much better buy than the wired mic and any other one out there.
BTW, the USB ports on the xbox 360 are still powered even though the xbox is not on. That way you can charge the mic right there, without burning out the xbox

This is horribly uncomfortable to wear while playing, the plastic which loops around really digs into your ears, it doesn't feel like a cell phone headset either.
Though I must say it picks up sound rather well, though I'm not sure how well it filters.
