Well, I was gifted this a couple of months ago, and unfortunately it simply didn't work once I took it out of its packaging. The charging lights just wouldn't turn on, no matter how many different USB ports and chargers I plugged it into. It took three calls to Microsoft's labyrinthine support system over two days to be refused a replacement in the absence of a receipt. Of course, I keep all receipts, but the person that gifted this to me does not.
Thus, it was a waste of money for the gifter, and now I'm trying to decide what to get as a replacement without having to give Microsoft any more money for their accessories.

The xbox 360 wireless headset is by far the best headset on the market, hands down. The headset has incredible range and sound clarity. The charge on the headset lasts for 6 hours straight on a charge. Usually one charge can last me 3 or 4 days without charging again. Great headset, must-have!Customer Review: 4 in 3 years = Garbage!

I have had to buy 4 of these since I started using them. I do not mistreat them or throw them, etc. They have all stopped working the exact same way; about 4-7 months old they will just not turn on anymore. I have always charged them fully when new and not charged them until they were low, I never leave them charging overnight, etc. THEY ARE JUST PURE GARBAGE, why do you thing M$ only has a 3 month warranty on them?Customer Review: Xbox 360 Headset is great for Skype phone calls

Overpriced of course by Microsoft but nonetheless, this is a great product. Frees you up to game without the clumsy wires from an old fashioned headset to your controller. This actually is my 2nd headset as the 1st one didn't work from the outset. Amazon is simply amazing on their return policy.
