Windows (7 x64) detected the controller as soon as I plugged it in and retrieved all the necessary drivers. Any Games For Windows Live products automatically have controller support, as well as almost all new(ish) games. This little baby made so many of my games much easier to play, from DiRT 2, to Mafia 2, to Red Faction: Guerrilla. The controller does vibrate in most games, and pressing the center button in a GFWL game will bring down the dashboard. Otherwise that button doesn't serve much of a function, and the green light is always on. I wonder how long it will last being on almost 24/7.
Anyways it's your standard Xbox 360 controller, one of the better, if not best, controllers on the market. Although the D-pad is still a bit iffy.
The cord doesn't bother me since I never have to worry about batteries or charging, and I don't sit far enough away for there to be a problem with cord length.
This also works great for emulators, playing N64 titles turned out to be rather difficult with a keyboard for me. Didn't even have to use any extra programs to remap the controls. I haven't tried it out myself, but I heard there's a good program called Xpadder that will let you map controls to your liking in case you want to use it in windows or just really want to play a game that doesn't already support the controller.
