this is a bit of cash but then again it comes with a mic and i have had the mic for about 1 year now and will not break on me unlike the first once that came in the beginning of the xbox 360 series. the chat pad saves you time texting someone when you are in the middle of a game, can be faster then talking in the micCustomer Review: Makes life much easier

This pad makes sending messages over xbox live much easier. It took some getting used to because the pad is larger than a cell phone so the keys aren't as compact as I would like them to be...(probably a good thing if you don't like the small cell phone buttons).Customer Review: A must have!

I was skeptical of if I even needed this at all and actually purchased it one time but returned it. I ended up purchasing it a few months later after I had used my friends. It is probably one of the best addons to any console system I have used aside from being a full size keyboard. If you do a lot of online gaming or chatting and have the extra cash to get this accessory, I would highly recommend it. It cuts down the time from 2-3 minutes to 10 seconds with typing in your sign on id and password to recover your gamer tag.
