Video Game Reviews of Xbox 360 Quick Charge KitCustomer Review: No more dead/dying batteries Summary: 5 StarsSo you get an extra battery and get to charge your battery without the cord. I also have noticed that using this charger keeps my battery charged for much longer then using the cord. Now when my battery reaches half life I swap them out. I don't even see the blinking lights on the controller anymore. Totally worth the $.
Customer Review: Charger does a great job of charging Summary: 4 StarsThis product does everything is sets out to do, it gives you feed back on when the battery is charging and when it is done. It tells you when you have a battery that isn't functional (no lights). So the only downside that I can find is that I have to move the battery from the controller to the charge station. In my case that is not a big deal at all, but if you want to just game all the time, I could see where this could cut into your game time by like 30 seconds or longer if you don't have a back up charging. It works great for me though.
Customer Review: Saves you on changing 2 AA batteries every 1-2 weeks. Summary: 5 StarsThis is money well spent, not only does it charge really fast, the charge lasts a long time and this is not even the highest charged batteries available, It does add a couple more ounces to the weight of your controller but that is ok by me. Thank you Microsoft for this.
Customer Review: A Must Have Peripheral for XBox 360 Owners Summary: 5 StarsThe XBox 360 Quick Charge Kit is a pretty straight forward little device. So I'll keep my review relatively short and to the point.
The Quick Charge Kit is used in conjunction with the XBox 360 rechargeable battery for the wireless controllers. This kit comes with one rechargeable battery pack included. The packaging on the Quick Charge Kit claims that it can completely charge a depleted battery in about 2 hours, double that to charge 2 battery packs at the same time.
In my experience the charging time estimates are true. Though I usually end up charging my battery packs before they're completely drained. Typically I'd say that a full charge on one battery takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The Quick Charge Kit comes with an AC power cord that's about 1.5m long. The unit also features 2 LED's that indicate the status of the ongoing charge. Orange/Red = charging and Green = charged. Simple and effective.
In the long run the Quick Charge Kit will pay for itself with the savings in not having to purchase regular alkaline batteries. I really think no XBox owner should be without this handy little device.
Customer Review: Recharges Batteries SUPER Fast Summary: 5 StarsI'm not going to repeat what everyone else has been saying for years, but I will offer a real situation that should illustrate just how good this battery charge kit really is.
I've had it for about three years now, constantly plugged into a power strip--this thing is durable and long-lasting. The Quick Charge Kit charges batteries so fast (2 hours or less to charge one completely drained battery and 4 hours to charge two completely drained batteries) that it actually saved me and my girlfriend while playing Left 4 Dead.
I have four rechargeable batteries and four controllers. My controller goes offline due to a drained battery in the middle of some versus/multiplayer in L4D, and I haven't been keeping up with recharging my batteries so my spares are also drained and only have one bar left (according to the xbox battery's icon).
So I quickly switch out my dead battery for one that hasn't been charged for weeks and I continue playing. After FIVE minutes, my neglected battery also goes offline. I then return to the Quick Charge Kit and snatch the first dead battery (which has been recharging by itself for FIVE minutes) and pop it into my controller. I discover that three bars have returned to my first battery's meter.
Of course, I thought, this was not an accurate representation of the battery's power and it would probably go down after five minutes or less. But hey, those humans aren't going to eat themselves! Thinking this, I put my second battery back into the recharger.
I then play for a good ten minutes before I realized that my battery is not going offline. My controller is blinking, warning me of my eventual dead battery, but I still have one bar left. Just to be safe, I switch my battery again. This time, the recharging battery has been doing so for ten minutes and has four bars (one short of full) and I do not have to switch out for the remainder of the gaming session or the next! By the time I start to worry about the battery again (this same night/session), the Quick Charge Kit has fully charged my battery.
This thing charges batteries SUPER fast. Of course, it will not recharge your battery in 10 minutes flat, but it charges so fast that you will have sufficient power to go through a game or two without worry on a dead battery IF you have spares. Especially, if you only charge one battery at a time. I recommend you do not overcharge your batteries, though. This means do not let the batter sit in the recharger, fully charged/green light, for hours/days/weeks, as this may weaken its lifespan.
