Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
Summary: 1 Stars

We purchased this remote charger for my son to save on batteries. Needless to say, the internal electrical circuit overheated and started a fire which melted the plastic housing. Luckily it did not catch anything else on fire, but BUYER BEWARE... this could happen to you as well. I'm not so upset about the money I'm out (approx $20), but this is a serious safety hazard, as so many kids use this product for the same reasons we bought it... to save on batteries. I did report the incident to Microsoft as well as the consumer product safety commission. If there is some default in the production of these items, then maybe a recall is in order. I'd hate to see anyone get injured or have their house burned down because of a faulty product.

Customer Review: Better idea than product
Summary: 3 Stars

I like the idea of the plug in cable because you can still use the controller and play while the battery charges. Unfortunately the battery doesn't always charge. Multiple times I have gotten a green light on the cable (battery charged) only to unplug it and have the controller turn off because it has a low battery. When I plug it in again the green light comes back on. The length is good though easy to play while plugged in. The charging capabilities though are the main point of the cable.

Customer Review: Works fine
Summary: 5 Stars

It works fine. I have three batteries so I guess I should have bought the stand alone charger so I don't have to have the xbox console running to charge. Yes it has to be running, the video may be off but the unit is still running. I have yet to try this with a AC/USB converter. That would be great because I have two controllers and could be charging one while using the other.

Customer Review: Batt Pack is short lived, Still not a Total loss.
Summary: 3 Stars

As soon as I had heard Next-Gen was going wireless I'm thinking "great, Duracell/Energizer found a new way to make a killing". So I started my search for this. these were instantly loved by all who bought and immediately reviewed them, so I just went right ahead and got 2 for both my controllers, to save all that money on batteries? totally worth it...for the first few months. The Batt Packs actually die out fairly soon, Duracell rechargeable last longer then this, so the Packs turn out to be pretty pathetic. STILL the charge cord itself acts as a plug to power your control even without the battery pack inserted, so if your short on cash to spend toward batteries your not out of luck, as long as your not a literal mile from the TV, the cord is reasonably long (and as a side note the controller is so much lighter with out batteries in it). Wireless is a nice concept but I just don't have the money for all the batteries, especially with all the money I'm putting into XBOX Live, Microsoft must think everyone's as rich as they are. So overall, the Battery Pack is pathetic but I'm not sorry I bought this, if just for the cord.

Customer Review: Great when it worked
Summary: 2 Stars

I ordered two of these for my wireless controllers. At first I loved them. They charged all the way up and lasted almost as long as AA's. After like 4 months however they began only charging to 2 bars and ran out very quickly. I prefer using regular batteries now, since they last so much longer. I would not reccommend these.
