Buying this 12 month xbox live gold card from amazon was cheaper than most stores I could have driven to. The shipping was also really fast, it took only a couple days. I would highly recommend ordering this if you need an xbox live gold card.

So you're looking at a 12+1 month Xbox Live subscription card on Amazon, and if it's still the same price as when I purchased it ($40), you might be a bit skeptical on the authenticity of this offer.

I'm going to dispel that thought. With standard shipping, it arrived much sooner than I expected (wasn't more than 3 days), and it arrived in it's original plastic packaging. Just open it up, punch in the code on the card, and there's your 13 months of Xbox Live.

Xbox Live has no real competitors for a complete, integrated gaming experience. While the Playstation 3 is catching up, it simply does not have the experience that the Xbox team had.

I originally started out as a Playstation fanboy, so don't assume that I have a preference simply based on brands. Ultimately, the price of the Xbox 360 versus the PS3 and the difference in release dates is what prompted me to get a 360.

In the previous console generation, I actually purchased my Playstation 2 when it first launched, then a Gamecube 3 years or so later, and then an Xbox about 4 years after it originally launched. Unfortunately, I found out that I missed out on the coolest experiences with better graphics and features.

I have been an Xbox Live member since the first year I had high speed Internet available (when I had the first Xbox) in my area. The capabilities have greatly expanded since then, as has the community. You can now have video chat, chat without video, play Xbox Live Arcade games (some with camera support), join "parties" with your friends in and out of games, or chat with other people who are playing the games with you.

Being a Gold Member to Xbox Live (which this product makes you) allows you to access free demos of upcoming games-- sometimes weeks before regular free members--, play online multiplayer, weekly discounts on downloadable content, and more.
