Customer Review: Standard Xbox 360 controller with a new coat of paint

This controller is the same as any other official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller. But the red and black color scheme really looks great on it. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack as well as the play and charge cable. Also comes with the battery case to put in standard batteries if you don't want to use the rechargeable for some reason. If you need a spare controller or are just bored with your white one, this red controller is a great option.Customer Review: NOT RED

Not only is the controller I received not red but it seems to disconnect from the system periodically. Also, it's not like I can just easily send this item back to actually get the correct color because I am a deployed soldier, thanks buddy. If you ask me, there seems to be very slight improvements made to this controller over the standard white ones. for starters the bumpers and triggers feel a little different and it seems like they've made very slight changes to the way the D-pad feels. All in all, my only complaint is that this controller still uses NiMH rechargeable battery packs. These batteries can go bad relatively quickly and have a "memory" effect. this means that if you use the rechargeable battery pack you should always let it run down to dead before charging it full again. One final issue I have with it is that when your battery pack does go bad, MS doesn't sell the red battery packs separately.

+slight improvements to button mechanisms
+nice color (if you like red)
Cons:
-Still uses NiMH battery packs (instead of Li-ion)
-red battery packs not sold separately

Beautiful controller.. goes well with the rest of my controller collection (blue, pink, halo green) The price on amazon is cheaper than most regular retailers. At the time of review, $49.99 vs normal price of $59.99
