Video Game Reviews of Xbox 360 Elite [Old Version]

Customer Review: Xbox 360 Elite bundle
Summary: 4 Stars

The bundle was wonderful. The price was comparable to all other shopping venues, plus we were able to use a coupon. My son loves his 360! He is on it daily. The games included are not the top notch games, but they kept him entertained until he purchased other games. The delivery time was excellent! Thanks!

Customer Review: Very happy with this purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

I received the system a week ago. It has the Falcon.

I am playing it a lot more than I thought I would. The widescreen HD picture makes the experience so much better. All the games benefit from having more space on the sides of the screen.

Xbox Live is pretty cool. I love the library of Demos available so I don't have to rent the game if it is one I am thinking about buying.

Works great with my bridged router downstairs so I can watch video podcasts from my PC.

Customer Review: my 15 year old son is happy
Summary: 5 Stars

my 15 year old loves this and so do his friends. he also has playstation 2 but says xbox is better. he added xbox live recently.

Customer Review: Xbox 360 Elite
Summary: 3 Stars

My son loves this thing. The removable hard drive is a feature he likes. He takes it to a friends house and simply swaps it out.
The only bad thing...He has an Xbox live account and it will not work because Microsoft tech says they are having problems. It is bad enough if you don't pay and it does not work, let alone a paid account.

Customer Review: Falcon with dead hard drive
Summary: 1 Stars

I just received my Xbox 360 Elite Bundle yesterday. The console works great and the games I bought separately (Gears of War & Lost Planet) look awesome in 1080p on my Samsung HDTVs.

Unfortunately the hard drive is dead. The console can detect it, but I can't access it to create gamer profiles. Games are unable to save progress to it. Removing the drive and reattaching it multiple times did nothing. The console hangs for over a minute whenever I choose any action that touches the hard drive.

As several others have noted, the outer package box seal was broken and not even resealed. The games were inside, but the hard green plastic box they came in was broken in two places (shards of plastic were loose inside). There were plenty of scrapes and dings on the outer box too. The plastic covering the console itself had been opened and retaped. The console seemed physically undamaged.

I just scheduled a return pickup with UPS to send this back for a refund from Amazon. For those interested in the new Falcon boards, here's my info:
