I bought this XBox 360 for $350 and Halo 3 for $60. The two of them have brought me hundreds of hours of entertainment in the last year and a half. What else can you spend money on that you will seriously enjoy for that many hours? Buy one and find a game you enjoy and you'll actually save money on your entertainment budget.Customer Review: RED RING STILL A PROBLEM

I have had my 360 for about a year and it really does not get played that much so to my suprise when my daughter turned it on about 2 weeks ago after about 30 seconds it came up with the red rings failure. I had purchased an extended warranty through xbox so I sent it in for repairs. While the turn around time was less than 2 weeks they sent me a refurbished machine. I was not informed of this and the only reason I found out was because I checked the serial number. When I called xbox to complain they simply said that this was their policy and if I wanted to transfe my warranty to the replacement unit I would have to write a letter to the warranty department. I have been a long and loyal supporter of xbox mostly because of their exclusive games like Gears of War. I was even about to purchase a seperate bluray player instead of a PS3, however in light of their shady warranty practices I will now purchase a PS3 and become one of their loyal fanbase instead. I bought an X box 360 they advertise the item a use but like new. I was very disappointed with the product. The fan is very noisy and the right stick of the controller was shut (dead). So I had to go to best buy and spend 54$ in order to use the x box.
Overall I am very disappointed of this company and I will not buy any thing with them again.

I agree 100%. The Xbox System, Xbox live and games are superior to the ps3. But I had my x-box elite for 15 months then the red rings of death. To me; 15 months for at the time I bought mine $479.00 is not a good value for your dollar. I too I'm out an Xbox and been waiting for a month for my repaired system, the tech support who sounds like they read from a script and obviously another country is terrible, outsourcing our jobs to another country when u have multimillion dollar Microsoft company is another rant, anyway they (Microsoft) should really focus on everyone having a solid system and tech support; Then by putting out solid games and products were we (the consumers) will spend a bulk of our money anyway and stop making some people just buy the PS3 based on Sony product quality rep.
