Customer Review: Warranty coverage gives you a used unit
Summary: 1 Stars

I have had my 360 for about a year and it really does not get played that much so to my suprise when my daughter turned it on about 2 weeks ago after about 30 seconds it came up with the red rings failure. I had purchased an extended warranty through xbox so I sent it in for repairs. While the turn around time was less than 2 weeks they sent me a refurbished machine. I was not informed of this and the only reason I found out was because I checked the serial number. When I called xbox to complain they simply said that this was their policy and if I wanted to transfe my warranty to the replacement unit I would have to write a letter to the warranty department. I have been a long and loyal supporter of xbox mostly because of their exclusive games like Gears of War. I was even about to purchase a seperate bluray player instead of a PS3, however in light of their shady warranty practices I will now purchase a PS3 and become one of their loyal fanbase instead.

Customer Review: LIVE, FUN, EXPERIENCE
Summary: 4 Stars

this is my second xbox 360 after the first died on me i was so mad and i hated it, but the fun and live experience just got me back to get an elite some people thinks im crazy to get another and told me to get a PS3, but its to costly and not much to offer for me in a way but ill get a PS3 in the future, and the great thing about this version of the xbox is that of course the hard drive and HDMI you can not say this game looks so good on a PS3 and blah blah blah blu-ray, but the xbox still has a play back of a true HI-DEF gaming, and of course again to really see this bad boy on awesome graphics you need an HI-DEF TV period to play on a resolution 720p and up, but if you play on a light bulb TV lol no offense to some people, you wont really see all the great details, and wow the LIVE EXPERIENCE the best but the NETFLIX wont work on my location because its USA residents only, thats a let down period, because i pay for gold and it dose not deliver some gold standard features, but i hope some day they'll reconsider, rad games, and so on but the xbox has still have a tall and long run competition with the PS3 so i wont say much, no more, i just story told some great and bad about this console and i cant say its the best one out there cause it still has the problems that we all xbox owners know....

Customer Review: Worth the buy.....
Summary: 5 Stars

Well it be my first review and to tell yah the truth I ain't good at it, but I will try. Anyways, I bought this bundle for myself in around December last year and I have enjoyed it so far I have no problem w/ overheating or for that matter noise. I was disappointed that the case for the kung-fu panda and lego game was broken, but then again this wasn't something I didn't mind since both games are still intact and would have at least expected to be separated in each own case, but that wasn't the case here they were put in a double disk cover thing.
As far as the other knick knacks inside everything works fine the black finish does have its flare when it is standing (dunno about putting it horizontal but then again). I would suggest for anyone who buys this system get the inter-cooler add-on since this will definitely help lessen any doubts of overheating the device and you wouldn't want to have invested on something like this expensive and just be ruined just cuz of something as little of an add-on like the inter-cooler save your system from the dreaded 3 ring of death.
Overall the system is great the 2 games that comes w/ it is family oriented games, but if your hardcore gamer you'll probably go and get GoW 1 & 2 or any of the shooting games. (Oh one more thing if you have an hdmi ready tv then your in luck since this does include the cable for it so happy since I do have it and just wow.)

Customer Review: Broke in less than a month.
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought the XBOX 360 Elite for a family gift for my kids for Christmas and it's already broken. The power supply glows orange which means "It is in standby" and I followed all the instructions in the manual, online and via phone call to tech support. Their answer was for me to mail it to them from Ohio to Texas where they will work on it for 2-3 weeks and mail it back to me. Upon returning it to XBOX repair center the sent me another "replacement/refurbished" model and it seems to work just fine so I have no idea what the original problem was with the system but it was not my power supply. Other than the system breaking so soon, I would have given it a 5 star rating!

Customer Review: Almost perfect.

I was fortunate enough to get this holiday bundle for even cheaper than its already reasonable sticker price--I got it from the Amazon Warehouse deals section. From what I understand, they offer discounts on products that have some sort of damage to the box etc, in this case I got seventy dollars off because the box supposedly "had a crushed corner". Oddly enough, when I received the bundle in the mail, the box looked mostly fine--it just had a few creases on one of the corners, which I probably wouldn't even have noticed had I not been looking for it.

On the inside, all of the components were in perfect condition. I hooked everything up to my new 40" Samsung 1080p hdtv, and it all worked as expected. There are several different cables that came with the system, though I am only using the HDMI cable. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't really care about the games and just got this bundle because it was so greatly discounted, but the Lego Indiana Jones game is actually really fun--even for someone approaching thirty. I haven't tried out the Kung Fu Panda game as of yet, but the system and the Lego Indiana Jones game were well worth the price by themselves.

Overall, the system is great--they did much better this time around when compared to the original Xbox. There are tons of great games, and you can download all kinds of demos, stream Netflix movies, and harass your friends online. I do have a few qualms though, which are mostly related to the greediness that I perceive Microsoft to have. I was really excited about the fact that the Wii had a built in wireless networking card (though the online options for that system are scant at best). Nonetheless, I thought that it was a great move, particularly having grown up in the time of the original Nintendo that came packaged with a few controllers, a light gun, the system, all of the necessary cables and a couple of games. That was awesome, just to be able to get the basic package and have an awesome time with it out of the box without having to drop a few hundred dollars more. While this bundle aimed to do this to a degree, it fell short in a few other ways: I had to drop $90 on a wireless network adapter, another $36 on a second controller, $40 on an Xbox Live membership, etc. Sure, I'm a big boy, and I make enough money to buy my own toys now, but I had to spend more than $150 beyond the cost of this bundle just to be able to play with friends (both locally and remotely). So, I deducted one star from my review because the extra expense--along with the terrible quality of the headset, which was another $30 to rectify--kept this bundle from being totally perfect.

All the same, this is a great system and I got it at a phenomenal price. My advice if you are on the fence between the elite and the lesser versions is to spring for the extra cash because I would have filled anything less than the 120gb hard drive up almost immediately after downloading just a few demos.
