Customer Review: XBOX 360 Summary: 5 StarsThe Xbox 360 is the best system for me, actually I have a PS3 but It doesn't have all kind of game that the 360 has. Everything was ok except the case of the arcade game it was broken :S
Customer Review: XBox 360 Arcade Summary: 5 StarsMy husband and I absolutely love the 360! The graphics are great, and I definately think it's the best deal for the money!
Customer Review: don't buy this Summary: 1 StarsThis is the older generation unit, very noisy fan. It was sold mixed with the newer generation quieter units to fool customers. Shame on microsoft! You can't make sure to get a new generation unit, don't buy it.
Customer Review: Xbox 360 Arcade Summary: 5 StarsI have been very happy with my 360. After having had the old XBOX, I can say this is a nice step up. Not having the hard drive hasn't been an issue until I went and bought a bargain game "Fable", and it wouldn't play, despite being told it was "backwards compatible". I would think they would have called it forwards-compatible...should have been my first indicator.
Otherwise, playback is fine, the controller is comfortable, and after the small purchase of a plantronics headset to plug in, I can safely say that talking trash while playing UNO is one of the funniest things yet. The games that come on the arcade disc are fine for children with the exception of this one.
I would recommend buying the 360, especially if is to play only new games. If you are going to be downloading any kind of content from the marketplace such as movies (yes they have feature-length films available to "rent", both HD and standard definition), games, or tons of new themes, get a hard drive or go the next step to the Pro system.
If you're wanting to make use of an existing XBOX library, then get the HDD.
