Customer Review: Mass Effect: Amazing RPG & Sci-Fi Shooter
Summary: 5 Stars
This Game Is Not like Gears of War 2 or Modern Warfare 2 where you simply shoot everything you see and the storyline and character developement is less than standard. If you just want an aggressive shooter, this game is a mistake to buy.
This Game Is a Sci-Fi RPG where you trade-in your swords and axes for shotguns and assault rifles plain and simple.
This Game Is Most Comparable to the likes of Fallout 3. Other games it may have similarities to is Fable 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Oblivion, Dragon Age: Origins, & Borderlands.
Pros:
-Amazing storyline and loads of character developement.
-Can freely choose a squad of two other characters from a total of six.
-Can carry four different types of weapons: pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, & sniper rifle that you can upgrade often throughout the duration of the game.
-Can buy and upgrade armor as well.
-Great graphics, probably four out of five stars.
-Can choose what main characters says through dialogue options. This made me not want to skip every cut scene for once.
-Game progression is affected by the choices you make, felt more in control that way instead of just an observer.
-Great mixture of RPG and Shooter - a Sci-Fi version of Fallout 3 basically.
-Loads of exploration and side quests.
-Can change difficulty.
Cons:
-Too short if you just focus on the main missions and not the side quests.
-Some achievemants are just plain stupid, you'll have to finish the game at least twice to get all achievemant points.
-Puzzles weren't exactly challenging in my opinion
-Vehicle control isn't the worst but definitly not the greatest.
-Can easily miss out on extras, even the recruitment of characters, if you're playing without a walkthrough.
-Can't upgrade vehicles, you just get what you get.
