Video Game Reviews of Halo 3Customer Review: Halo 3 Summary: 5 StarsI waited this long to finally get this game that everyone has. I've played it before, played a lot of the other two Halos. I purposely waited til now because the price was so good, even better than buying it used at GameStop.
I received this Halo3 very quickly, it was a very good price, the disk wasn't scratched or damaged, it also came with the manual to the game in very good condition, and even came with a small Halo 3 poster that came with the game when it first came out (which I wasn't even expecting to get).
This buy was a great buy and I would buy from this seller again.
Customer Review: Good multiplayer game Summary: 4 StarsDecent game that continues the original story. Either you are a fan of the story or you're not. Co-op multiplayer is a big plus. Also, the online community is very strong and active.
Customer Review: Halo 3 Is Just Plain Fun! Summary: 5 StarsHalo 3. Ok so almost everyone knows about this game/franchise by now, even non gamers. Halo 3 is an amazing sci-fi type first person shooter mixed with human military, excellent choice of weapons, armors, and rides to be driven in (and people and enemies to kill in them!). This game is very fun and replayed solo play. The campaign mode is great, and each mission is actually challenging, yet fun at the same time. You really learn Halo history here playing through this game if you have never played a Halo game title before.
Ok, now to talk about Halo 3 online play. One word, WOW! Absolutely incredible, breath taking, insane (Ok, I'll stop rambling on about words describing how fun Halo 3 online play is :P). Basically it's the best online FPS I've ever played as far as rankings go, different matchmaking types, the maps, and even the kind of games to be played on the maps.
That's right. You don't just kill each other online, there's modes like the capture the flag, and king of the hill mode, which when you read the titles are pretty self explainitory, and all of the online modes are a lot of fun. This game may have came out in mid 2007, but it is still very playable in mid to late 2009 and adleast 3 more years I would say in my humble opinion. So, what are you waiting for? Go pick up this game already, and get in on the action!
Customer Review: This is an OLD REVIEW. Summary: 4 StarsI made this a few days after release. [...]
Here's my review on what is one of, if not the, biggest game and what some say the most overrated game, of all-time. I've only played it for about 6 hours, so I will probably be editing this review. This is my first impression. ( Note: I didn't play the beta. )
Graphics: 4.5/5 Look quite good, but don't really blow you away. The character models for the most part look phenomenal, and the environments do as well. Still, it's not the most impressive looking game out there right now. Hell, to all the whiners, I'd rather have an okay looking game that runs smoothly than a fantastic looking game that lags a lot.
Sound: 5/5 Top notch. The talking throughout your men in campaign is really well done. The voice acting in the cut scenes are also great. You will likely never hear the same thing twice in battle. The explosions and guns still sound fantastic too. Everything Halo 2 sounded like, but better.
Control: 4.5/5 Not quite perfect. In my opinion, Halo 2 had better controls for a 360 controller. Still, Halo 3 doesn't control bad, but it does take some getting used to. Such as you having to learn how to use the RB button to get in vehicles and pick up guns and what-not, as well as reload, instead of using the X button used in Halo 2. Still controls very well though.
Fun: 5/5 I must say, this game left a great first impression. I started with Campaign first, and was less than surprised at the start, mainly because the game kept on lagging. But once the game started going, the Campaign got pretty fun. And, in case you don't already know, you can have four person co-op, which makes Legendary quite a bit easier to play through. ( Still not a sinch in any stretch of the imagination though. ) I could review this game all day. The single player, co-op, Forge, multiplayer, all the maps, how the guns hold up, the AI, the ability to record your games, and what not. All I really need to say though, is it's worth it. There aren't many maps currently available to play on Halo 3, but just about all of them are a lot of fun. If you don't think they are at first, go ahead and play them a few times. The game looks good, controls great, and sounds fantastic. Almost everything about this game that I've seen so far is top notch.
5/5
Customer Review: Great game but whats with all the rage? Summary: 4 StarsI have always been a fan of the halo series and never disappointed with what was next in the adventures. The thing is though is is that its not so good that everybody should talk about it as if it were the best game in the world. I could have a never ending list of games I liked but I'd like to tell you the good side of this game and the bad side.
Lets start with the goods. This game has a fairly compelling storyline and will want you to play it all in one short time period. It keeps you playing until the very last second. Sometimes its easy other times its fairly hard. It also has some neat weapons and things too.
This game has fun online play for you to do also. You can just go matchmaking or you can play with you friends in private games where you choose what you want to do. Either way its fun and really keeps you going for a bit.
This game has fairly good graphics and doesn't disappoint in that department. Unlike its previous games, it really does show improvement. This is always something to look forward to in a video game and should always be expected with the newer systems we have today.
This is also one of the very few games that has such a widespread range of vehicles that you can use. From the classic Warthog to the newer choppers and prowlers, you can always have a good time manhandling in these vehicles.
Now for the not so good category. The campaign is short and if you are a very determined player then you can beat it in a days worth of work. At times it has some lame missions that will take you maybe 15 minutes to complete that mission. There are also skulls in these missions and I like games that have a good collectible to find but man, if you really wanted to spend your time looking for all those WITHOUT any help then you're really in for it.
Also nothing has really changed in these series which can really bug me at times. They've added new guns but there isn't a whole lot of new weaponry from the previous games. You always see the same thing too, all you do is run around and shoot aliens or take out a heavy unit, a common thing with the ancestors. The online is the same unless you do private matches and find some other game to play. Other then that the gameplay doesn't change up too often.
Over all this game is thumbs up, and I am happy with my purchase. Anybody that wants a good shooter to play just pick up this game and I think that you will be quite satisfied too.
