Video Game Reviews of Lego Indiana Jones: The Original AdventuresCustomer Review: great legacy to the Indiana Jones series Summary: 5 Stars+ Using Legos is a brilliant idea
+ Everything is communicated without words. Frequently funny.
+ Great sound and music
+ Free Play is worth playing
+ Amazing attention to detail to everything: the background, the characters and the way they move, the treasures, the puzzles.
Many mediocre games are made based on popular movies just to scam a few more bucks from fans. But to me the level of thoughtfulness and completeness can only be the result of a genuine love for the Indiana Jones series, for Legos, and for game making.
Unequivocal 5 stars.
Customer Review: A whip-crackingly good time! Summary: 5 StarsAh, the Lego video game series. Largely forgettable, marginal games until a little something called Lego Star Wars came along. Oh, what a fun thing that was! Colorful, entertaining, challenging and thoroughly great! Then came a couple sequels and now we've got this, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures! Yes, the little man in the plastic fedora has come to join the fun!
And what fun it is! Though by necessity smaller than Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and lacking a level based on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (which I liked, even if no one else did), this game still delivers all the fun, laughs and challenges one would expect of the Lego games.
Though the game is rather short, only eighteen levels, and they aren't especially challenging, though some of the puzzles take a little effort, there's enough items to collect and characters to unlock that you'll keep going for ages until you finish it off.
Best of all, this is one of those rare, great little games that can be easily enjoyed by adults as well as children. In fact, with the really good two-player co-op mode, it's actually a good game for parents and kids to play together.
So saddle up, get your staff of Ra, and give this game a go!
Customer Review: Good Game, a little repetitive Summary: 4 StarsI really like the Lego games they have out there, and this one was fun as well. I liked the story lines, and the creative puzzles and traps, and I enjoyed the cut scenes. However, if you don't like repetition, or you don't like looking in every nook and cranny for lego coins, then this is probably not for you.
Customer Review: Lots of fun Summary: 5 StarsI got this game included with my new x-box & I love it. It has been so much fun. It may seem aimed for kids but I'm a 28 year old girl who grew up on Indiana Jones movies & this brought back a lot of great memories. I would totally recommend this one. :)
Customer Review: Legos and Indy, what more do you need!? Summary: 4 StarsFirst there was the awesomeness that was Lego Start Wars, and now they have done it again! Lego Indiana Jones! Legos + awesome classic movies = epic! If you like / LOVE Indiana Jones, then you have to get this game. The gameplay is exactly the same as Lego Star Wars, so if you have played that game, you will feel right at home. It's a great game to play with a friend also, it has a great coop mode, where other players can drop in and out at any time. The AI in the game is a little screwy sometimes but nothing to complain too much about. They took out the nazi's, I'm guessing to be kid friendly, but it would of been nice to kill lego nazis! Oh well. Overall the game is simply fun. The odd thing is that after playing this game, I kept finding myself wanting to build things with legos.
