Video Game Reviews of Star Wars: The Force UnleashedCustomer Review: One of the better Star Wars games! Summary: 5 StarsIt's pretty sweet game. The achevements are some-what easy to get, the controles are simple to catch on to, you can up-grade your powers, and there a few collectables to find throughout the game too, if your a perfectionist. I've owned this game twice, I first bought it, beat it (in about a week- depending on the difficulty and time you put in) then sold it, after about a month or two I purchased it again because I loved it that much. I have bought and sold many game but this is one I will keep.
Customer Review: Not fun. You feel weak the whole time. Bad Platforming. Summary: 2 StarsThe platforming elements are not good.
You feel like a weakling.
The force throw is just about broken.
It's just, not fun. Sorry.
Customer Review: More like "Star Wars: force LEASHED." Summary: 2 StarsI have many fond memories of the great star wars titles lucas arts released in the 90s and thought I would give this one a try. As it turns out maybe I should have stayed in that coma for another 10 years. That way I could have not only missed the prequels, but this ill-fated title. This game could be single-handedly ruined by it's poor targeting system, except for the help of other issues that created a multi-faceted ensemble of suck. I love the star wars expanded universe as much as the next guy but jawas that use the force, seriously? It's unclear how to beat the bosses and the game forces you to memorise combos in an unnecessaryly complex fighting system. All in all I paid 10 bucks for the game and it was probably worth it, but it's not worth my time and effort to play to completion.
Customer Review: Really fun but Game of the Year Edition will be Better Summary: 5 StarsThis game is awesome with beutiful Grafix and plenty of replyability. If you are a star wars fan then you need to get this game. You start playing as Darth Vadar but find a child from the Dead Jedi you just killed. You find the kid and use him as your apprentaince. You are now grown up and doing the dirty work for Vadar. In the end you have to make a decision but it all ends the same way. You have several special abilities to use like lightning, force push and more. Playing the game on the hardest setting is fun and very difficult with several memorable boss fights. Bosses dont just get harder and harder, it gets harder and easier and then harder.
Their has been a DLC released months ago but has no tie in to the game, its just a side mission to learn about your past. Their has been another DLC release but both will come included on the Sith Edition with another side mission on the planet Hoth only exclusive to the new edition. There are petitions out their as to why the Sith Edition has the exlusive mission on Hoth and the poeple has still have this edition get screwed.
Just rent the Sith Edition and the price should drop fast like all 1 player.games.
Customer Review: More fun, with promise of better things to come Summary: 4 StarsForce unleashed is a game that is almost in the category of great. The graphics are great, the story is great, but the gameplay is not quite as great. The entire game play concept is an action game, you have a lightsaber, and a bunch of force powers. You start with hardly any, then move on to more and more, which invidual force powers having different levels of strength. The action is great, and you can break anything and kill anyone as you pass through a level. The problem is that that's pretty much all you can do. The best analogy is to the grand theft auto games, when you first get it and go crazy killing a stealing. Its great at first, but eventually you'll need something else to keep playing. In Grand Theft Auto there's tons of other things to do. Here, not so much. But if you play a few levels every once in a while it is a lot of fun. I just wish there was more to do, as throwing an enemy off a ledge is fun for only so long, and then is just another thing to do. Really this game is a more force heavy version of the jedi knight games, with far less interest in the lightsaber. I imagine when the inevitable sequel hits, there will be a slew of improvement to every aspect and be the great game this almost was.
So, if you're looking for some fun involving feeling like an all powerful jedi this should float your boat.
