- Play as any of the 77 legendary characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors video game series. Yoshimoto Imagawa, Goemon Ishikawa and Kunoichi will return as playable characters. There are also two new un-lockable characters Orochi and Da Ji.
- Go into battle with your own three-person tag team using characters from either series with the new Team Battle System. At any given time, one warrior will be engaged in battle, while the other two are recuperating, restoring their Life Meters and Musou Gauges. In battle, the player can rotate to a different character in real-time.
- Combine attributes from different weapons for more devastating results with the new Weapon Fusion System.
- Play previously played and unlocked stages with any combination of available characters in Free mode.

This is worth every penny to any Dynasty/Samurai Warriors die hard fan!
First off the graphics are the same. Frame f=rate may be a little smoother but overall the game is worth the price when you compare it to the rest of the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Someone mentioned that it's too easy to unlock the characters....ok dude it's over 70 playable fighters how hard does it have to be for you to feel like you got your money worth? Play it on the hardest mode then say that. Who has that much free time? Not everyone, that's for sure. I think the game is excellent how it is. I like how they made the upgrade system and the 3 tag team is a plus. Until they step up with a next generation game with todays expectations, Warriors Orochi is the BEST of the series next to the Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM for any GUNDAM fans. The price for Warriors Orochi is fair to what the game offers and I can bet you in a year this will be a very hard to find game on certain systems. I've played most of the Dynasty Warriors series since it started off as a one on one sword fighting game like SoulCaliber for PS one. This is a must have to any D.W. fan! No other Dynasty or Samurai Warriors game has this many playable characters available on the same game. Some games are ment to trade in and some are ment to keep. My opinion, this is a sleeper hit for the series and a keeper. There is really no need to buy a Dynasty or Samurai Warriors game if you get this one.
