Customer Review: Awesome
Summary: 4 Stars

At Christmas time you couldn't find this game ANYWHERE but on here. It is great! So glad I was able to find it. Shipping took longer then I paid for, if I had it to do over I would have just paid ground shipping, instead of 2 day, since it took 4 days to get it to me.

Customer Review: Addictive Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this game. Already on my third year of my dynasty. Roll Tide.

Customer Review: Certainly Makes Last Generation's Game's Obsolete.
Summary: 5 Stars

As each generation of console games come and go, one thing is certain: Football games are getting more in depth, realistic, fun, and gorgeous with each passing generation. Yeah, sure, they aren't on par with actually playing a Football game. But how many other things allow the not-so-lucky Football fans to indulge in the glory of college football? Only this series (yeah, the only is the work of EA Sports. But that's a different story) has offered the glory.

Enter NCAA Football 2009. Once entering, you will find exactly why this game is so popular: Addictive gameplay, fluid playing, the feel that you really are playing like the impact players featured, it's just so sublime. New features and stats are always seen with every edition, and it shows that, while not exactly warranting a purchase, EA Sports is making the series better and better.

So what's new? First off, the biggest feature this year is online dynasty. Basically, if you thought the notion of having your own dynasty earned playing against the computer is exciting, consider playing with a real live opponent to achieve that. Since playing against a human is more fun than the computer (something with an actual dynamic brain), it makes this mode all the more fun. Besides, who doesn't like blowing out some kid using USC? Aside from that, the interactive timeouts are very nice (they give you a list of options to improve on a job), the opportunity to celebrate with the mascot is very fun, and the animations and breakaway system is amazing. The game is extremely smooth looking (what else is new?) if nothing else.

It is exactly a must purchase? If you already own another game of the current generation, probably not. Sure, you could nitpick some of the ratings of teams, (After all, did Georgia and Ohio State really play like a maxed out team this season? I think not), but yeah, I am in the camp. So while this game may not be a great purchase for one that owns another PS3/360 version (especially if you don't care about online play), if you haven't, that's a different story. To summarize what I mean: after playing this version, I can never see myself go back to a PS2 Football game.

Granted, while the game is a steady improvement, I think that the stats, upgrades, and roster changes really aren't worth the purchase if you already own a Football game for the 360/PS3. But if you haven't picked up a football game of the next generation yet, then this game would warrant an excellent time to do so (along with Madden as well).

Customer Review: A bit disappointing...
Summary: 4 Stars

First off, I went from playing NCAA on last gen systems to playing the 09 version on a next gen. With that said, I still see a ton of similarities between the two. A ton of the animations and the commentary haven't changed.
Recruiting is a lot easier, but is still relatively annoying to do. I am bugged with how some recruits can be soft verbals to me, but then commit else where the next week if I don't commit enough time to them. I think that EA should allow players to steal recruits and to have more time recruiting (10 Hours is ridiculous). Personally, I found recruiting more interesting than the game play.
I don't know about a lot of people, but the small things keep bugging me about this game. Why would cheerleaders wear skirts in snow, rain, crazy weather? Why does the group of male cheerleaders run on the field the exact same way for every TD, no matter what school? Every school has a unique way of celebrating a TD and EA should definitely look into that.
As for game play.. I think EA should use that "comp plays as good as you play" from Madden for NCAA as well. I mean why does the same crossing pattern always lead to a 60+ yard TD. Real teams make adjustments.. why can't a COMPUTER of all things do that? I think the way every player holds the ball and runs the exact same way is kind of annoying too.. I don't think anyone does that so awkwardly.. but sure enough, the same animation for everyone. Game play is definitely not as "smooth" as developers would lead you to believe.. I think it's as awkward as always.
I don't know if this franchise will ever get better.. but this is definitely a lackluster addition. I paid 30 for a copy of this game.. and I feel slightly gipped.

Customer Review: It was a gift
Summary: 4 Stars

It was a gift for my grandson and he was thrilled to receive. I tried buying it in stores and they were all out. Then I bought it for 12 dollars cheaper than it was in the stores and that made me happy.
