The zombies are long gone, but the Lickers are back! This game is a great new installment for the RE franchise. The co-op feature is nice, and the ally AI works well enough (although it is rather wasteful of ammo). And Wesker is brought back more powerful than ever.

Just wrote this to tell people that might be negatively presuaded, this is a GREAT game. Best graphics i've seen on the xbox 360, period. Blasting Majini (NOT ZOMBIES!!) feels great. Replay value is through the roof, with the Mercenaries survival mode, 4 difficulty settings, and Online Versus mode (available on XBOX marketplace for about $5).
Just letting you guys writing 1 and 2 star reviews know, THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE PAST REs. STOP COMPARING THEM.
If you are looking for more of a "horror" experience, this isn't the game for you.
Action Gamers rejoice. Fans of the series should stay true and cop this, but DO NOT expect a re-hash of previous REs, even RE4. This is a RADICAL DEPARTURE from the series, as was said by CAPCOM before the demo even previewed.

Resident Evil 5 is much more action than horror,not like the other games in the RE library.RE 5 takes place in Africa were Chris Redfield looks for answers with his new partner Sheva Alomar.The graphics are very detailed with backgrounds and dust swirling look amazing.The music really isn't that horror filled with the rest of the RE titles.The controls are just about the same as RE4 you still can't shoot and move at the same time,making you vulnerable to get hit.The AI partner dies more than you will, making you start the level all over again,something I did not like.She waste a lot of ammo which is not really all that necessary.But it has co-op where you and a friend can play as either Chris or Sheva making the game a lot better.After you finish the game they have a Mercenaries mode where you have to kill as much infected as you can in the amount of time given on the screen.I give this game a 3 in fun because I thought they would improve the controls from RE4,not much horror,and the the AI is slow.But overall it's a 4 because the graphics,levels,Mercs mode,and co-op.
