Video Game Reviews of Xbox 360 Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Kit

Customer Review: Guitar Hero-X-Box 360 Rules
Summary: 5 Stars

My son and his roommates love playing Guitar Hero. They do not have much free time, they are away at Prep School, so when they play, they have a great time.

Customer Review: Great Guitar Game, Average Guitar, not so great for everything else
Summary: 3 Stars

[[ASIN:B001ABLHJG Xbox 360 Guitar Hero World Tour - Guitar Kit]I play this game on expert guitar level downstrum only, and I've got to say that the GHWT guitar's strum bar is the worst thing about this game. I would go so far as to say that it's the worst strum bar of the series. If you are someone who plays on medium and just breaks the game out when company is over or to hold Guitar Hero (Rock Band) parties, then this guitar is fine as you will not be needing to hit notes coming at you at a blinding rate of speed. It also looks really cool. As noted previously, even if you are not a "downstrum" noob like myself and both down and up strum you will still have problems with this guitar. That said, the guitar portion of this game is great. The new guitar play features (continuous long notes, touch pad) add a lot of value to the gameplay, although I don't know anyone that can actually pull themselves away from the buttons to place their hands over the touch pad.
That being said, if you are getting this game for the complete "Rock Band" type experience, go with Rock Band instead. The Rock Band "platform" is just more fun, and the it's the more tightly integrated amongst the different peripherals.
In a nutshell, get this game if you're only going to play guitar by yourself (using a GHIII Guitar), don't get this game if you want to play as the full band.

Customer Review: Great Fun!
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased this game and controller bundle to add it to the Rockband game we already had. It was a great addition. The wireless feature is also a plus as game play can get enthusiastic. Needing to reconnect the yank plug on the Rockband wired controller is a good indication. Another favorite feature is the song repertoire that can be accessed with a cheat code rather than earning your way to all of them. The age range of all who have played has been from 4 to 82 years old! Definitely fun for the whole family!

Customer Review: A great game bad guitar
Summary: 4 Stars

The game itself is very fun to play huge list of songs fun modes and good downloads , better then rockband for the list of songs. But the guitar is horrible when it works its very fun but my first one broke in under a week .... Activision and red octane took about a month to send me a new one... and it was broken to. The first one squeaked and would not down strum. The second one Squeakes and ocasionaly the touch pad goes, also the red butten becomes stiff everyonce and a while and will not press down. SO its worth buying but get the rock band guitar or some other one

Customer Review: Not as good as Rock Band 2... Busted guitar...
Summary: 3 Stars

GH:WT was fun, but it is a game that should be rented, played, and returned. I bought this bundle from Amazon, 'cause it was $70. The guitar bundle usually retails at $99. After receiving my game, I found out that my guitar didn't work on the up strum, and they didn't have one to replace it. Instead of getting a refund, I got rid of the game and broken guitar for $98 and some change. I bought Rock Band 2 at the same time. I like Rock Band 2 a lot more, surprisingly. I was a huge GH3 fan.
