Video Game Reviews of Guitar Hero 2 Bundle with GuitarCustomer Review: Guitar Hero II Summary: 5 StarsWhen I first played Guitar Hero, I thought that it was a good game; a game to expose today's youth to our musical heritage as well as provide an alternative to the other game franchises that cropped up and garnered media attention, namely Grand Theft Auto. With the release of the second Guitar Hero, i was expecting the same basic game with a new song list. What i got was a superior product to the first in more ways than just its songs. The multiplayer system had been revamped and improved with the addition of the Pro-Face Off as well as a Co-op Mode in addition to the original face-off mode. the addition of encores in the career made the game more realistic in that a good performance often begs for an encore, thus making the feeling of being an actual rock star more tangible and appealing. but what really sold the game was the final encore of the game, Freebird. This was the song that made an already amazing song list even better, allowing gamers, casual or otherwise to experiance one of the best rock athems to have ever been written.
Overall, this game is well worth paying for, but with the recent advent of Guitar Hero III, it'd be more worthwhile to buy the GH3 packaged deal with game and guitar, and just buy the individual game for GH and GH2.
Customer Review: Rockin' Out Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this game for my brother who loves video games and he absolutly loved it! As he practiced I read the instruction booklet to him and gave him some hints that made it easier. He played the game long into the night of his birthday, and he still loves it. It is a fun game with many levels of play and difficulty. The only thing I didn't like was after watching the screen so intently for the notes, after looking away, things look odd, but I'm sure you get used to that. Otherwise a wonderful game!!!
Customer Review: grandson's birthday present was hit of the party Summary: 5 StarsI purchased the guitar hero II bundle as a present for my grandson's 13th birthday. It was a super hit. The adults and teenagers loved the game and spent hours competing with each other. It was instant fun and easy to learn.
Customer Review: Fun for all Summary: 5 StarsBought for my 17-year old. He and his slightly younger brother have fun on it. Seems juvenile but they get a kick out of it and the different levels make it challenging. Most kids who love music would love this. Game works well and seems relatively sturdy.
Customer Review: Great gift for teenage kids Summary: 5 StarsMy 18 year old loved this gift. His 16 year old brother and all their friends have enjoyed it too. Consider a cordless guitar as an additional purchase. I'll be adding that to our collection soon.
