Video Game Reviews of Elder Scrolls IV OblivionCustomer Review: Ruined My Lifw Summary: 1 StarsI loved oblivion while I played it. But, it is way to long. It ruined my life. I didn't eat, I didn't hang with my friends, and I didn't sleep. This game is addictive. A few days ago I was 150 hours in and I deleted my file. I was so proud. Now I'm free. This game is perfect for those with no friends and life. It started to get repetitive, but I still played for countless hours a day.
Customer Review: Good Summary: 5 StarsGraphics are average for this next gen console. Was one of the first games out, so that is to be expected. Game play is fun and long. If you like RPG games, then this one is a GREAT one. Only draw back is no online play like a Worlds of War Craft.
Didn't come with a manual. But arrived in a very timely manner with good condition. Think the manual ommision was a one time thing. Would buy from this buyer again.
Customer Review: Oblivion...That's Where Your Life Goes Summary: 5 StarsGet divorced, give away your pets, quit your job, and stock the pantry because you will be busy for awhile. Of course you could plow through the main game but where is the sport in that? This is the type of game that can be brought out long after it has been completed and still enjoyed as much as when it was new.
Customer Review: Deep and rich. Summary: 5 StarsThis game is fantasticly deep and rich; it's like being in a seven-book fantasy series. The one criticism I have of it is combat: I think it should have taken a page from Jade Empire and been a little more user-friendly but complex.
What I mean by that is that in Oblivion you can either try ranged attacks with magic or arrows, or you can wade in and swing swords/axes etc. The latter works fine. The former is both repetitive (as there are few combos, if any) and boring, but also tricky in a way that experience and practice does not make any more fun.
Jade Empire had a great system where basic movements were all mapped to the main keys but as your character increased in experience it gained more combos and "forms." Oblivion 5 or whatever it is, should use something like that.
Other than that though, game is wonderful.
Customer Review: Best OPEN RPG Ever Summary: 5 StarsI have always enjoyed the elder scrolls series. This one takes the cake. Even better then for PC. Looks great and the controls are very friendly. Now with the new Shivering Isles pack this is even better. EXTREAMLY great gameplay. Well over 120 Hours worth.
